How to start a website?

Thinking of starting a website.

It is as simple as;

1. Thinking of  a brand name.

a. Shorter the better (mostly)

b. Easy to remember, natural sounding, may not necessarily have a meeting

c. Unique (not a copy of existing names)

2. Buy domain (related to your brand name)

a. GoDaddy, Moniker, NameCheap or eNom are the popular registrars

b. Do not take the free domain that some companies offer if you buy hosting from them.

c. Go for TLD (top level domain) – preferred is Dot Com or else settle for Dot Net. If brandname.com is not available then add a prefix or suffix to the domain and buy the dotcom.

Where to buy it from – GoDaddy or Moniker or NameCheap

3. Get Hosting

Rackspace is the provider that I suggest going with

4. Install WordPress

Find a premium theme and install it on your domain.

You are now good to go.
