Barnes & Noble captures more than 25% of the eBook market

Barnes & Noble (B&N) announced that it has captured more than 25% of the ebook market.

And innovation can come from corners that you least expect.

First Nook became the top selling Android Tablet in the US and now B & N has launched a Simple Touch Reader with 2 months battery life – double that of a Amazon’s Kindle. B & N has also announced the reduction is price of Nook.

Good news for users is that in near future all eBook readers may become free. Kevin Kelly has speculated written about Kindle being available free by November 2011.

We will have to wait and watch.
