The talks of Twitter offering USD 50 milllion for TweetDeck , popular desktop application that 13% twitter users use to tweet, are doing rounds. Earlier UberMedia offered UDSD 30million for the app.

The clout of TweetDeck is considerable among tweeps and twitter through such acquisitions want to thwart any possible threat to its existence.
